"Education is a national priority, and for the first time federal policies will focus squarely on improving student achievement," Paige said. "For too long, many of our schools did a good job educating some of our children. With this new law, we'll make sure we're providing ALL of our children with access to a high–quality education." - U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige

On January 8th 2002, the “No Child Left Behind Act of 2001” became law. Now one year later, it is apparent that each state has met the deadline for accountability plan submission and the proposed 2004 budget for NCLBA is $22.5 billion. It appears that the work is well underway. Vital Knowledge salutes the ambitious and visionary leadership exhibited by State Departments of Education in recognizing the need to support each and every student - and to create equitable learning environments for all.

P.E.T., our learning styles assessment and teaching strategies instrument, can play a crucial role in helping the administrator, parent, teacher and the student’s understanding of their own unique learning profile. Creating a learning environment where the student takes some responsibility for their own learning, where a teacher has the appropriate strategies to teach the individual student and where the parents have the reassurance (and confidence) that they better understand how their child is best taught – and is being taught.
